Francesco Simone is a Chartered Trade Mark Attorney and IPEC Trade Mark Litigator.
Following his graduation from L.U.I.S.S. University of Rome in 2013, he completed the Postgraduate Certificate in Trade Marks Law and Practice at Queen Mary University of London in 2015 and joined WP Thompson as a Trainee Trade Mark Attorney in the same year. After completion of the Professional Certificate in Trade Mark Practice in 2017, he obtained full qualification, entering the Register of Trade Mark Attorneys and becoming a member of the Chartered Institute of Trade Mark Attorneys (CITMA).
Francesco has experience in trade mark prosecution and enforcement of registered and unregistered trade marks in the UK and the EU. He has dealt with trade mark prosecution from the pre-filing stages, such as clearance searches, through to registration. His experience in trade mark disputes includes opposition, cancellation actions and infringement, as well as negotiations between the parties.
Francesco contributes to, and is a joint editor of, The CITMA & CIPA European Union Trade Mark Handbook, as well as contributing to CITMA Review, the journal of the Chartered Institute of Trade Mark Attorneys.
